The TB-Neo is a handbrake built around an expandable modular platform. It supports vibration motors, hydraulic modules and replaceable rubber springs, which Simagic describe as a one-time investment with long-term iteration.

A 100kg high-precision pressure sensor reads the pull at 12-bit resolution. Mounts horizontally or vertically across five angles, and converts to a pull-type form. Travel, spring tension, force, linearity and dead zone are all adjustable.

    FAQ

    Buying and fitting

Simagic supply hardware for two mounting methods. Screws pass through the front and rear mounting holes into a bracket tray and are secured with lock nuts, or the handbrake installs onto a profile bracket using the supplied profile slider nuts. The handbrake measures 209.5 x 73.5 x 382.5mm. Send us a photo of your rig and we will confirm the fit before you order.

Yes. Simagic support horizontal or vertical mounting with adjustment at five angles, and the pull rod can be adapted to a vertical bracket or converted into a pull-type handbrake form. One exception applies: when installing the P-HYS hydraulic module, Simagic instruct that the handbrake must not be installed in a vertical position.

USB-C connects the handbrake straight to your PC, so it works independently of your base. If you would rather run it through a Simagic base, USB-C connects to the CAN interface on the Alpha Mini, Alpha and Alpha Ultimate, and the supplied Ethernet cable connects to the CANFD interface on Alpha EVO series bases.

Simagic list the connection type as PC and Simagic Wheelbase, and SimPro Manager is Windows software. Console support is not listed. Get in touch if you need this confirmed for a specific setup.

    Feel and tuning

The TB-Neo uses a 100kg high-precision pressure sensor with 12-bit resolution, resolving the pull into 4096 steps. Simagic recommend calibrating a new device on arrival so the game recognises your range of operation accurately.

Two ways. Mechanically, by changing the rubber springs inside the damper barrel. Four hardness grades ship in the box and Simagic document four combinations, listed in the table above. Electronically, through SimPro Manager, where you set dead zone, linearity and the response curve. Simagic state that recalibration is required after replacing the elastomer, to prevent the brake triggering too early or too late.

Simagic describe it as a patented technology using a quadruple cascaded amplification circuit, achieving intelligent dynamic signal noise reduction, with high fidelity for small signals and no overflow for large signals.

Yes, at least once. Simagic recommend calibrating a new handbrake before use so the game reads your full range correctly, and calibration happens in SimPro Manager.
It downloads from Simagic. After that you only need it when you want to change settings or update firmware.

    Modules and upgrades

The P-HYS and P-HYSi hydraulic modules replace the damper barrel and give fluid damping with linear rebound. The P-HPR and P-HPR GT haptic pedal reactors add vibration through the lever, adjustable per condition for ABS, traction control, tyre slip, shifting and half-clutch engagement. All are sold separately.

Both are hydraulic modules and Simagic state the installation method is the same for both. The difference that affects fitting is orientation. Simagic instruct that when installing the P-HYS, the handbrake must not be installed in a vertical position. For the P-HYSi used in different forms, the oil tank needs to be adjusted vertical to the ground to prevent leaks. Talk to us about your layout before ordering a module.

Yes. The P-HPR and P-HPR GT connect to the vibration module interface and also require the extended power supply, which is sold separately. Make sure the motor model selected in SimPro Manager matches the module you have actually fitted, then start at a lower intensity and build up.

    Orders and support

Estimated dispatch is [DATE]. Pre-orders are dispatched in the order they are received, and we will contact you directly if the estimate moves.

Simagic state a warranty period of 24 months from the date of purchase. During that period, if parts, materials or workmanship have problems under normal use and maintenance, and a quality issue is confirmed on inspection, repair and parts replacement are provided. Keep your serial number, as Simagic use it as the primary identifier for after-sales support. As an official Simagic distributor, we handle warranty claims here in Melbourne.

Once demo stock lands we will have the TB-Neo set up at our Melbourne showroom and the SimRigs Sim Centre. Get in touch and we will let you know when it is available to try.
